Steps for a healthy lifestyle in 2024

Dr. Clement Dapaalong, a physician at the Royal Natural Clinic, has advised Ghanaians to put their health first in 2024.

Making informed decisions is crucial to improving eating habits, according to Dr. Dapaalong, who made this statement during an interview for Asempa FM Ekosii Sen’s “Beginning the Year Right series 2024.”

“Reducing the amount of foods high in saturated fats, trans-fatty acids, free sugars, and salt may seem like a lot at first, but these changes can have a big impact on your health,” he said.

He advocated eating a balanced diet that includes whole grains, legumes, and nuts in addition to increasing the amount of veggies in meals.

Dr. Dapaalong emphasized that significant improvements in general health can be achieved by implementing modest but meaningful adjustments to everyday routines and behaviors.

Additionally, Dr. Dapaalong offered advice on how to save important organs, especially the heart.

“Every normal being’s heart pumps regularly. The heavier you are, the more pressure you put on your organs. Monitoring your weight is essential to avoid undue pressure on vital organs, especially the kidneys. A healthy balanced diet is crucial. Limiting glucose intake and maintaining a normal general eating habit are critical steps toward overall well-being” he explained.

Dr. Dapaalong therefore encouraged individuals to commit to small steps in changing daily routines and habits, as these adjustments can significantly benefit their health in 2024.
