Following a six-month internal investigation into his conduct, Mason Greenwood’s departure from the club was confirmed on August 21. This decision came after charges against Greenwood, including attempted rape and assault, were dropped in February when the key witness, his girlfriend and mother of his child, Harriet Robson, withdrew the charges.
