Dipuo said she had to spend three months in hospital due to the intense damage that the dogs had caused on her face.
Since she was mauled by her previous employers’ pit bulls while she was working in their Potchefstroom home, Dipuo has undergone major reconstructive surgery at Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital in Soweto, Johannesburg.
When the dogs broke free from their pen and charged at the housekeeper as she was washing dishes, they tore off her lips, nose, ears, and large chunks of skin from her limbs.
Ever since, life has only been a torturous recovery process.
In the most recent treatment, according to Dipuo, surgeons shifted the skin they had previously covered her mouth, which was left open after the attack, upwards in order to prepare for the rebuilding of her lips and nose….CONTINUE READING
