When the mouse crawls into the bottle of food and then crawls back to the neck of the bottle to try and escape, the bottle will tip and the little mouse will be stuck. Then you can release the mouse outside, unharmed.

There are a number of methods you can use to keep mice out of the home:
Keep food clean

Mice come into the home mostly to find food. Having food out will keep them interested in your home, even the smallest crumbs. Make sure you keep food sealed and cupboards clean.
Close entry points

Look for spaces in the home where mice might be entering. Cracks under doors should be sealed for example.
Use essential oils

It’s thought mice don’t like certain smells. Soaking cotton balls with essential oils like peppermint or clove in areas mice like to frequent might help keep them away.
Get a cat

One of the oldest tricks in the books for dealing with mice. Adopt a cat in need from a shelter. Not only will you give them a home, but they will repay you with occasional cuddles and free pest control.

TikTok dad @rezbluez, showed his DIY mouse trap, which he says is “cheap” and “works great” to catch and release mice.

He said: “Build this trap. [It’s] pretty easy. [It] doesn’t have to be a big bucket, as long as [there is a] bit of water in [the] bucket they won’t be able to jump out.” [SIC]
