What You Should And Shouldn’t Do In The Morning

And no, I’m not talking about waking up at 3AM, having ice baths or meditating for 2 hours.

Instead, I’m going to give you a very simple set of principles which have helped me improve my mornings.

Plus, I’m going to give you the dangerous habits you must avoid at all costs.

This is all from my own experience.

It is not the end all or be all.

But my mornings have become a lot better since implementing these habits.

Before getting into this article, I don’t have a “routine” as such.

A routine suggests that I do the same things every single day at the exact same time.

And if I miss out on them, my day is ruined.

I don’t have one of these.

Instead, I have a few things which have made my mornings extremely beneficial.

To begin with, I don’t wake up with an alarm clock.

Those things are jarring and have been proven to ruin your REM sleep.

Instead, I prefer to wake up naturally.

And shoot me, I don’t wake up early.

Sorry to dissapoint any gurus reading this.

You don’t have to wake up at 3AM to be awesome.

I wake up when my mind is ready to rise and my sleep has been exquisite.

The easiest replacement for an alarm clock is natural light.

Depending on where you live, this can be either an asset or a hindrance.

Back when I lived in Scotland, the summer sun would rise at around 4AM.

And frankly, it was a massive pain.

I didn’t want to wake up at 5AM, especially since I’d go to sleep around midnight.
