1. Coms and calluses.

The skin surrounding the foot may start to develop some firm skin patches in some places. Coms and calluses are the names for these rough patches of skin.

They might represent nerve injury. Please check your blood sugar levels if you haven’t been diagnosed yet and start to notice these hard, skin patches on your feet for no apparent cause.

2. Dyspigmented skin.

The hue of the affected area may start to change when the blood supply to that area of the body is insufficient. Diabetes has an impact on blood flow, particularly near the feet. Diabetes could thus have an impact on the colour of the skin surrounding the foot.

3. Swollen feet.

4. Feet soreness.
